A studio session in Detroit brought Luke Hess and Thor together for this techno EP, cut over a few days at DeepLabs. Hess brings warm, soulful Detroit pulse, Thor the stripped minimal edge from his Icelandic roots. Analogue machines and rare samples give "Induction" a crisp drive and "Samruni" a smoky, uplifting soul. Restrained but powerful.
