Leeds-born, London collective Nubiyan Twist, built around bandleader Tom Excell, fold improvisation into afrobeat drive and hip-hop cadence. New vocalist Eniola adds a melodic centre. "Chasing Shadows" glows under Fatoumata Diawara's lines, "Threads" brings Patrice Rushen's piano, and "Rhythm Of You" drifts dubbed-out with Joe Armon-Jones.
